The Danish Dance Schools’ Danish Championships in Latin American dances and Solo Artistic Ballroom, held on 18th of November in Ravnsborghallen in Køge, was a real party for Bendixen Dans, where many of our talents secured top positions and impressed with their performances.
In the beginning row, Dagmar & Anna showed particularly good beats. They are both fairly new to competition dancing, but won the preliminary round and secured silver medals in the final. Tobias & Ella continued their impressive season by reaching the podium with a third place. This result is an improvement from their result at the Autumn Grand Prix in October.
Top results in Artistic Ballroom
Both Runa and Viktoria won silver medals in their respective categories. Although they both won gold at the Autumn Grand Prix, their silver medals at the Danish Championships show their high level in solo Latin. In both the Konkurrence and Super Star cateogories, Bendixen Dans dominated, with Emily and Sofiia taking the top two podium places with gold for Emily and silver for Sofiia. Likewise, Taira secured gold while Cecilie won silver, cementing their position at the top of their categories.
Great junior result in U16
Also worth highlighting are Sylvester and Josephine, who made an excellent performance in the U16 Competition. In this category, where no less than 12 couples participated, they won an impressive fourth place – as the highest placed couple from Eastern Denmark. After the introduction of new age groups in DDD, the junior 1 category (U14) has been removed. This means there is a big jump from 12 to 16 years, an age group where you cannot avoid a big difference in what the dancers can do physically and motorically. It therefore only makes the result more impressive that they both only just turned 14 this year.
