Gold, podiums and final cheers for Marcus & Veronika in England

At the end of January, Bournemouth in England hosted The UK Dance Festival, one of the toughest international standard dance competitions of the year. Here, Marcus and Veronika proved once again that they belong at the very top.
Despite tough competition, they went all the way and won gold in U19 Standard. The victory was brought home with a calmness and overview that is usually only seen in much older dancers.
And they didn’t stop there. In the U21 category, the good streak continued with an incredible bronze medal, even though they were up against both older and more experienced couples.
The biggest surprise of the week, and perhaps the most impressive performance, came in the Adult Rising Stars. In a huge field of 82 pairs, Marcus and Veronika fought all the way to the final and took 5th place. It’s a result that proves that they can already compete with the adults on an international level.
The results in Bournemouth add to an already strong international season for the pair. In 2025, they made history with major international top finishes, including as WDO U19 Standard World Champions, and they have repeatedly shown that they can deliver when the pressure is on.
Later in the year, they continued with notable results on the international floor, including a historic win in London and a strong hat-trick of top finishes that underlined their stability and momentum.
Dancing at such a high level over five days requires enormous stamina, but the couple managed to grow from round to round and stepped up when the pressure was on.
We are extremely proud of the development Marcus and Veronika are showing on the floor right now. Congratulations on a fantastic week in Bournemouth! 💙
